If your existing British passport has recently expired or is close to expiring you can apply for it to be extended for 12 months.
Please check the guidance to see whether you are eligible to apply for a passport extension.

This service is available at our New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Goa offices.

You will not be charged for this service.
The service is by appointment only. To book an appointment please phone the office nearest to you and select the ‘consular services’ option or contact our Consular Call Centre on +852 2901 3000.

Appointments cannot be made through clickbook for these services.

We provide limited Documentary services by appointment. We accept payments by Visa and Mastercard credit, debit cards and cash.

If you’re the parent or guardian of a child living overseas that needs to travel urgently, you can apply for an emergency travel document for your child instead of a new or renewed passport. This service is available at our New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Goa offices.

FEES

Our fees are not refundable. While Consular staff will give you as much advice as they can, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are obtaining the correct service. If you are unsure, you may wish to take legal advice before booking the service.

Please note that fees are subject to change without notice. A list of current fees can be found on our website

HOW TO PAY

Fess are accept in Indian Rupees only. We accept payment by credit card, in cash and by bank draft.

• Credit card: We accept payment by credit card, complete the Credit Card Payment Authorisation Form and include this with your application. For further information kind refer to our website

• Cash: We also accept payments by cash. Please do not send cash by post.

• Demand Draft: If you wish to pay by draft please provide a machine readable bank draft in Indian rupees made payable to "British High Commission New Delhi".

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

For all Documentary Services, you must bring photo identity proof for yourself.

Please note that you will have to pass through Security upon arrival at the British Deputy High Commission. You should expect your belongings to be checked, and you will have to leave your telephone and all electronic devices including flashdrives with the Security Officer. Please arrive in advance of your appointment.

If you need to cancel or modify your booking, you will be able to do so by following the link in the confirmation e-mail.
